Eni: 7.08 billion euros in net profit in H1 2022


(CercleFinance.com) – Enie has just published its results for the second quarter of 2022. The Group’s adjusted EBIT is 5.84 billion euros, up 13% compared to the previous quarter and more than doubled compared to to the previous year.

The Group’s adjusted net profit in the second quarter amounted to 3.81 billion euros (7.08 billion euros in the first half of 2022), an improvement of 2.9 billion euros compared to the previous year (increase of 5.9 billion euros in the first half).

In the second quarter of 2022, the Group’s adjusted cash flow before replacement cost working capital amounted to €5.19 billion. In the first half of 2022, it reached 10.80 billion euros.

Net debt ex IFRS 16 at June 30, 2022 amounted to €7.9 billion, down €1.1 billion compared to December 31, 2021, and the Group’s leverage stood at 0 .15 compared to 0.20 at December 31, 2021.

Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, said: “With an adjusted cash flow of 10.8 billion euros, we are able to cover our organic investments of 3.4 billion euros and our distribution policy for the whole year. Based on these robust results and our updated market outlook, we are improving the distribution to shareholders by increasing the share buyback for 2022 to 2.4 billion euros.’
