The Italian film music star Ennio Morricone is dead. He died on Monday night at the age of 91 in a hospital in Rome.
The award-winning Italian film music composer Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) is dead. The Italian newspaper "Corriere Della Sera" reports that the family of the deceased is reported. Accordingly, the successful artist died "in the night of July 5 to 6 in a Roman clinic from the consequences of a fall". He was 91 years old. The family announced in a statement that the funeral would be closed to the public.
The conductor has composed music for more than 500 films in recent decades, including many classics such as De Palma's "The Untouchables" or Sergio Leone's "Play the Song of Death" and "For a Fistful of Dollars". Morricone has been honored dozens of times for his achievements.
Ennio Morricone is survived by his wife, Maria Travia, with whom he had been married since 1956, as well as three sons and a daughter.
