Euro zone: Retail sales fall by 0.3% in November

(Reuters) – Retail sales in the euro zone fell slightly by 0.3% in November, in line with analysts’ expectations, according to data published on Monday by Eurostat.

Over one year, retail sales in the 20 countries sharing the euro fell by 1.1%, while analysts expected a drop of 1.5%.

November sales of food, beverages and tobacco products fell 0.1% month-on-month, while they increased 1.4% for fuels.

Over one month, sales for non-food products (excluding fuel) fell by 0.4%.
