European stock markets ended sharply higher on Tuesday, supported by a drop in American bond interest rates, which reacted positively to comments from American central bankers, and rumors of economic support measures in China.
The Paris Stock Exchange climbed 2.01% to 7,162.43 points, Frankfurt by 1.95%, London by 1.82% and Milan by 2.30%. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 1.96%, its best session of the year.
