European stock markets started their week down slightly, not extending their timid rebound on Friday in the face of interest rates still close to annual highs.

Paris fell by 0.41% at the opening, London by 0.19%, Frankfurt by 0.12%. Interest rates on the government debt market were up slightly after their sharp rise at the end of last week, the rate of the French 10-year loan approaching 3.20% and the German 2, 65%.
