Europlasma: capital gain on acquisition of Satma Industries – 08/05/2022 at 11:01

(CercleFinance.com) – Europlasma announced Thursday evening that it was going to pocket a capital gain on the occasion of the integration of Satma Industries into its accounts.

The specialist in the treatment of hazardous waste explains that an assessment of the equipment installed on the Satma site in Goncelin (Isère) was carried out by an independent consulting firm, commissioner of contributions.

According to Europlasma, the valuation of this equipment represents a capital gain of seven million euros net (deduction made from the liabilities assumed), which will strengthen equity.

This accounting item will also enable it to generate a positive impact of the same order on its operating profit for the first half.

For the record, Europlasma was appointed last March by the Commercial Court of Grenoble as the buyer of Satma, a former subsidiary of Pechiney specializing in aluminum anodes for electrolytic capacitors.

After having jumped 27% at the opening, the Europlasma action wiped out all its gains late Friday morning on the Paris Stock Exchange to now evolve around equilibrium.
