FRANKFURT, December 29 (Reuters) – Growth in loans to businesses in the euro area accelerated in November, for the third consecutive month, to 2.9% year on year after 2.5% in October, according to data released Wednesday by the European Central Bank (ECB).
The annual growth rate of M3 money supply, which mainly reflects ECB bond purchases, stood at 7.3% last month, below the Reuters consensus of 7.6% .
For its part, the growth of loans to households in November stood at 4.2% compared to the same period of 2020, after + 4.1% in October. (Report Balazs Koranyi, French version Valentine Baldassari, edited by Jean-Stéphane Brosse)
