Evil Dead: The Game, the end of the multiplayer game already announced, what about maintaining the servers and the Switch version?

In line with Dead by Daylight Or Friday the 13th: The Game, Evil Dead: The Game wanted to transform a famous horror movie license into an asymmetrical multiplayer survival game. The contract was moderately fulfilled, with generally mediocre reviews but still more than 500,000 copies sold in the first weeks of operation.

The adventure continued with paid extensions, a port Steam and an Game of the Year Editionand while we were still waiting for the Switch version, Saber Interactive And Boss Team Games have made an announcement that will disappoint players still present in online games. Yes, less than a year and a half after its launch, Evil Dead: The Game will already bow out: there will be no more DLC no content updates but, rest assured, the servers will still remain open some time, and the main technical issues will be fixed to keep the experience viable. On the other hand, the Switch version, although promised, was canceled.

To the Evil Dead: The Game community,

Today, we have made the decision not to continue developing new content for Evil Dead: The Game. We also confirm that we will not be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of the game.

We will keep the servers operational for the near future and fix any major issues that arise.

On behalf of the entire Saber team, thank you for all these difficult times and your continued support.

So enjoy the last few months of Evil Dead: The Game before it becomes permanently unplayable: you can get your copy from €27.60 on Amazon.com.
