Mourning in the skiing world: Rupert Huber from Pongau, who had been racing boss at Atomic for decades and is known far beyond the country’s borders, died at the age of 73 after a long, serious illness. The father of two and the member of SC Radstadt will be buried on Friday (6th August) at 2 p.m. in the parish church of Radstadt.

Huber started as a ski-builder apprentice at Atomic in 1964 and from 1968 onwards he was racing manager of the Altenmarkt ski company for more than half a century, thus experiencing generations of ski legends.

For decades, Huber was also a close confidante of the legendary Atomic boss Alois Rohrmoser, who died in 2005.
