Except mortal danger – soldier first aider in Klagenfurt knife attack

After the knife attack on a 62-year-old woman from Klagenfurt, medical sergeant Rudolf S. was the first to take care of the seriously injured at the scene. He sees assistance as a duty and a matter of course. He earned great praise from the defense minister for his courageous intervention.

The 28-year-old asylum seeker from Armenia stabbed the woman 40 times because the AMS – as reported – had canceled his financial support. He was prevented from stabbing his victim more often by an antiques dealer in Klagenfurt (62). Shortly thereafter, Deputy Lieutenant Rudolf S. from the Laudon barracks in Klagenfurt arrived at the scene of the crime, purely by chance. The victim is now out of danger and was recently transferred to the normal ward.
