Face comparison: This is what women look like before and after birth

Lithuanian photographer Vaida Razmislavičė has dedicated her series of pictures to mothers of the world. The focus of the pictures is on the eyes of the 33 mothers who took pictures before and after the birth of their firstborn children. "I chose a very simple format for this project, as if I were taking passport photos," she reports on Boredpanda.com. "I wanted to highlight my models' eyes and take away everything that would bother them."

Even a mother, the photographer shares this change with her protagonists and tells Boredpanda.com: "Motherhood is a deep experience filled with joy, pain, exhaustion and love. When a woman becomes a mother, she really feels her inner energy. Their intuition grows and their wisdom reaches new heights. "

"I got the idea for this project when I met people who saw a newborn as an obstacle for parents," the photographer told Boredpanda.com. "I wanted to show that it is possible to continue living in harmony after the birth of a child."

While she was doing her master's degree, she raised her two children and let her experience flow into her work. If you would like to find out more about the "Become a mother" project and its work, go to vaidaphoto.com for more information.
