Fairy Fencer F returns as a tactical RPG

Directed by veteran studio Sting, which is not its first tactical RPG, Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord is in development on PS5, PS4 and Switch for a September 15 release in Japan. Fans will find an assortment of the main characters from the 2013 game, starting with Fang, the male protagonist around whom the traditional harem of the Compile Heart games revolves.

Eryn, Tiara, Fleur or Grace are all divas who will lend their abilities to the protagonist in his quest, in particular through songs with multiple beneficial effects that will allow him to reach the state Fairizea capacity already present in the system of Fairy Fencer F.

We will even see an effect of “Dramatic Resonance” occur when the songs of two rival divas intersect, with the risky consequence of improving allied characters but also enemies. Otherwise, we know that tactical battles will take into account the direction of the units or even the topography of the ground.
