Fallout: Prime Video has revealed the release date and we have to wait a little longer before seeing the adaptation of the cult video game

Prime Video has just revealed the launch date for its series adaptation of Fallout, the best-selling video game franchise in the world.

Bethesda / Zenimax

The date is April 12, 2024. It is on this date that Prime Video will introduce its subscribers to the serial adaptation of the best-selling video game saga in the world, Fallout. The platform made the announcement on the 26th anniversary of Fallout Day, an annual celebration of all things related to the video game franchise.

It took Amazon 4 years to produce, shoot and launch what promises to be one of the television events of next year. No images at the moment, but we can count on Prime Video to increase the wait until next spring. And when it comes to promotion, they know how to do it:

The video games take place in a world ravaged by bombs and radiation and mutations which have led to the creation, in particular, of monsters. Of the 9 opuses released (6 main and 6 derivatives), players must play different characters. Between the refugees emerging from the anti-atomic shelters where they grew up, the raiders (looters), the fascist militias and other armed brotherhoods, the universe of the Fallout license is so rich that it has been the joy of gamers since 1997.

The series adaptation of Fallout will take place in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles and will be part of the main storyline of the games universe, even if it is an original story.

It was actor Walton Goggins who took the lead, in a role still kept secret. Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys) and Michael Emerson (Person of Interest).

Fallout is produced by Kilter Films as well as Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, creators of the Westworld series.
