Felix Neureuther: Special congratulations to Mama Rosi Mittermaier

Former ski star Felix Neureuther congratulates his mother Rosi Mittermaier, who is celebrating her 70th birthday on August 5th.

On August 5, 2020, Rosi Mittermaier celebrates her 70th birthday. The former ski racer won two gold medals and one silver medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics. "Gold-Rosi", her nickname since then, receives special congratulations on her special day in "World on Sunday", including her son. Ex-ski star Felix Neureuther (36) is now an ARD expert. He raves about his famous mother and dedicates loving words to her.

"You are unique as a grandmother"

Felix Neureuther writes to Rosi Mittermaier among others: "(…) Despite your many obligations and opportunities, you have subordinated everything to us children and family, you have always been there for us, for my sister and me. (…) It was never about trophies, but only about values. I still experience that every day. "

The 36-year-old mentions what he has learned from his parents: "You and dad (Christian Neureuther, editor's note), you have always demonstrated our down-to-earthness, and especially the love of nature. That one always stays together as a family ! And has respect for everyone! All of that still shapes me to this day (…) ". He and his wife Miriam Neureuther (30) would like to pass this on to their children as well. His most loving greeting: "As a grandmother you are unique. Nothing can upset you and when the children scream like that, everything bounces off you and only love is palpable."

Neureuther describes his mother as "pretty rigid and very honest" and wants her to stay that way. It ends with the words: "I wish you that you stay happy and healthy, that you can ski with your grandchildren and climb the mountains with them. I am incredibly grateful to have you."
