Lorient-Marseille was perhaps the “best” final possible, even if each team had an excellent level in theeLigue 1 2022. But these are the two teams that finished 1st and 2nd in the regular phase of the championship.
This final was played in BO7 (Best Of 7). The first team to win 4 games wins the title. During this final all the matches were quite close and the balance could have tipped one way or the other.
The first 1v1 match saw the two Peixoto brothers go head-to-head, and it’s Leandro who won for Lorient with a score of 3-1. SamyLumine for Marseille tied the two teams with a victory at the TAB against Fouma. Until then it was quite balanced as a final.
The following 3 matches saw a tight final score (1-0, 2-1 and 2-1), but the victory fell each time on the Lorient side. This allows Lorient to retain its title and win 4 to 1 against Marseille in this grand final of theeLigue 1 2022.
