FIFA 23: Solution of the EA Anti-Cheat bug on the PC version

Since the beginning of this week, it is possible to play FIFA 23 in early access, before its release on September 30. Unfortunately, some players are facing an issue preventing them from launching the football game, on PC, in particular because of theEA Anti-Cheat. If you are one of those with this bug, we give you the solution to try to fix it.

EA Anti-Cheat bug, what solution to fix it?

First of all, it seems that this problem comes from the EA App, the new application from Electronic Arts. So prefer to go through Origin, the publisher’s platform, which seems more stable. Then if you have the error message preventing you from launching FIFA 23 because of anti-cheatyou will have to perform some fairly simple manipulations to finally be able to enjoy your game.

You will need to prevent Origin from launching on PC startup (by disabling the option in the launcher settings). When this is done, restart your PC, and follow these steps:

• Once the PC has restarted, right-click on the Origin icon to start it as administrator (“Run as administrator”.
• Click “Yes” when the confirmation message appears.
• When Origin launches, you will normally be able to start FIFA 23 without having this problem.

Reinstall EA’s anti-cheat software

You can also try another manipulation, which simply consists of reinstall anti-cheat EA. To do this, you will need to follow these steps:

• Go to the FIFA 23 installation folder (by default on the C drive “Program files” → “Origin” → “FIFA 23”.
• Open the “_Installer” folder
• Then open the “EAAntiCheat” folder and run the anti-cheat to uninstall it.
• You just have to restart your PC, launch Origin as an administrator (see above) and launch FIFA 23 for the anti-cheat to reinstall.

If you still can’t launch FIFA 23, do not hesitate to update Origin, the problem can potentially come from there. Finally, for a better user experience, also update your graphics drivers, if you haven’t done so recently.
