The accident happened in a building complex in downtown Graz, the 26-year-old was busy with spatula work. To do this, he stood on a work platform about twelve meters high in the stairwell. Then the young man suddenly fell – why is currently unclear. The only thing that is clear is that the construction worker hit a banister. Work colleagues found him and set the rescue chain in motion. The 26-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Graz Regional Hospital after receiving first aid from the Red Cross and an emergency doctor. According to the police, he is said to have had an emergency operation or put into an artificial deep sleep. Was the work platform set up incorrectly?
