Several factors support the margins of metal producers with the good performance of demand, prices on the rise, or the impact of measures to adjust expenditure… On the Paris Stock Exchange, the multiples of companies belonging to this sector, however, remain low compared to their historical average. This situation is no doubt linked to the reluctance of managers to commit to cyclical issues. For years, they have in fact tended to favor growth stocks in their asset allocation. With the rise in interest rates and sector rotation, the situation could change!
