Final Fantasy VII: Towards a return of the PSP Crisis Core episode?

Square-Enix gave us an appointment today to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII on the occasion of a special livestream which will certainly only last ten minutes, but which we hope will be rich in announcements. And if everyone expects to see Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 show its first images, while some pray for an Xbox version of the first part, it could well be that Square Enix rolls out the red carpet to the PSP episode centered on the character of Zack, namely CrisisCore. Warning, some spoilers are coming.

Ready to listen to Price of Freedom in HD again?

If you followed Summer Game Fest primarily via Twitter, you may now be familiar with The Snitcha now reputable leaker who has been flawless lately, revealing the presence of Hollow Knight Silksong and of personas at the Xbox-Bethesda conference.

This time he tackles Final Fantasy VII, with a simple image and four colored squares, namely blue, green, red and black. No need to rack your brains too much here, this clearly indicates PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC. The image associated with the tweet comes to us from the remake, with Zack in the foreground helping Cloud, and Aerith in the background. What to hope for new images of Part 2 of the remake, which would be available on all platforms, even on Switch?

A priori, no. If we had to interpret this leak, we would rather lean on a remaster of CrisisCore on PC, PS4, Xbox and Switch, putting these same characters forward. After all, among all the images of the remake, the leaker chose this one in particular, which suggests that it is not a coincidence.

We will soon have the answer, since the livestream Final Fantasy VII will take place tonight at midnight.
