Final Fantasy XVI: details on the dubbing cast and full of new visuals with a preview of the menus

The commotion around Final Fantasy XVI has obviously been important for a few days, since theAction RPG of Square-Enix has finally been dated early next summer when its fourth trailer airs during the Game Awards. Pre-orders have since been opened for its various editions which have been detailed, including the expensive collector’s item since last night. If the official site of the game has changed a lot and focuses in the West on pre-orders, its Japanese version is full of new additions, including visuals, to be found on the next page. We discover there for the first time the game menu and more specifically the tab dedicated to skills, with obviously different trees where it will be necessary to spend points obtained during the adventure to unlock new options in combat. The interface during these contests which promise to be furious is also clearly visible on several images, being quite discreet at the bottom of the screen.

Whether you plan to play with the audio in Japanese, English or Frenchhere’s what to expect regarding the main characters already introduced in terms of voice acting:

the PlayStation-Blog gave other general details about the game, calling the accompanying wolf Clive Talgor in French instead of Torgal. It remains to be seen whether or not this is an error, because such a change brings absolutely nothing and will create confusion in discussions on the Web…

Engage in intense battles with the extraordinary powers of the Primordials

In Final Fantasy XVI, the series’ first-ever indie action-RPG developed for PS5, the Primordials imbue your sword with their power, but you can also directly control these prodigious entities! Use Clive’s Primordial skills in lightning-fast, action-packed combat, then engage in dynamic battles between two Primordials. Find out more about this new combat system in the trailer above. Read on to learn more about Primordials and how you can manipulate them to fight fire with fire (among other elements)!

Epic Battles

When the Emissaries embody their Primals and engage in merciless struggles, the clashes unfold on a colossal scale!

The Powers of the Primordials

Clive uses the powers of the Primordials that lie dormant within him during particularly rhythmic fights!

Play at your own pace

Many accessibility options allow as many people as possible to fully enjoy the adventure of Clive, from veteran players to those who simply want to follow the game’s story.

Story mode is recommended for gamers who aren’t used to action games and want to focus on the storyline. This mode makes it easier to trigger the skills of the Primordials and to automatically avoid certain enemy attacks. The game also offers an Action mode in which nothing is automated, intended for more experienced players, or for those who want to try their luck!

hero’s best friend

The loyal Talgor fights alongside Clive.

Talgor hails from the Northern Lands now in the hands of the Rosfields. This is Archduke Elwin who brought the animal back from an expedition in the region, when he seemed to have lost his pack, and who offered it to his son. After escaping the tragedy that endangered the Rosfield line, he finds Clive a decade later and now strives to serve his master with the loyalty that has always characterized him.

Talgor will stand by Clive’s side in battle, and he will never fail in the face of the enemy. Talgor can not only attack enemies, but also heal Clive’s wounds, and the duo can prove to be formidable if Clive issues his orders at the right time.

Teamwork

A little help is always welcome when it comes to battling fate.

As the story progresses, Clive will meet different characters who will join him in battle. Unlike Talgor, the support provided by these team members will be fully automated.

One of these allies, Cidolfus Telamon, aka “Cid”, is a former soldier-turned-outlaw who dreams of building a place where all who wield magic, Caregivers and persecuted Emissaries, can die with dignity.. As a man of science, he also conducts research to enable his group of heretics to survive in the Deadlands. Cid is also an Emissary, the power of Ramuh having declared itself in him shortly after his arrival on the shores of Valisthéa, a power certainly at the origin of his rise within the Valedoise army, where he seems having crossed paths with a certain Benedikta Harman…

Final Fantasy XVI is therefore expected on June 22, 2023 on PS5 and you can pre-order it to the Fnac from €79.99.
