Fire alarm in Pitztal – wooden hut caught fire: Tyrolean (27) injured

In Jerzens in the Tyrolean Pitztal, a wooden hut caught fire on Saturday night. Because there were still chickens under the hut, a 27-year-old is likely to have crawled underneath to get the animals out. He apparently suffered smoke inhalation and was admitted to the Zams hospital.

The evening before, the young man had heated the steel stove in the hut when he was roasting chestnuts with his partner and the two children. Father sounded the alarm, but the four of them left the hut around midnight. At around 4.30 a.m., the 27-year-old’s father finally noticed the fire in the rear area of ​​the hut in the garden of the house. According to the police, the father immediately notified the fire brigade, which ultimately brought the fire under control. The amount of property damage was initially unclear.
