Five concerts until June – Carinthian Symphony Orchestra: From longing to Bond

Wolfgang Czeipek, former director of Jeunesse Kärnten, once took the KSO out of the municipal theater orchestra pit and put it on the concert hall stage as a soloist. Today KSO concerts are part of the good sound and underpin the high musical quality.

Every chief conductor has left his or her traces of sound and has given the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra that very certain, personal touch. And the “new one”, Nicholas Milton, also raves about “the fantastic musicians”. The enthusiastic audience played the above on Monday in the Klagenfurt Konzerthaus under his direction into the New Year, where on February 13th (6pm) Sibelius, Grieg and Dvořák quench the “longing” for great feelings, for which Milton is again at the podium and Alexander Ullman grips the piano keys. The KSO “Spring” begins on March 26th with a lot of trumpet under the leadership of Ido Arad, another guest conductor is on April 10th with Harish Shankar for “Elias”, before Milton’s KSO season on May 23 for “Schicksal” again in hand and ends on June 15 with Bond film music.
