Because of the flood disaster, many fundraising campaigns were launched. Among other things, Sat.1 organizes a donation gala.

North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate are currently suffering from a flood disaster. According to media reports, more than 100 people have died and many are missing. There was a power failure in some areas. Numerous donation campaigns have already been launched for the flood victims. Sat.1 has now announced that it will organize the program “Germany helps. The Sat.1 donation gala” together with the alliance of German aid organizations “Aktion Deutschland Hilft”.

“Aktion Deutschland Hilft” includes, among others, the Johanniter, the Malteser and the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), which help the people affected on site. The live gala will be broadcast on Saturday, July 24th, from 8.15 p.m. on Sat.1. According to the broadcaster, numerous stars will receive donations over the phone.

More fundraising campaigns

Penny, among others, is starting a donation project for the flood victims. As the food discounter announced on Friday, customers can donate online from July 21st. Via a website that has been set up, which is currently unavailable, you can buy a donation slip for the benefit of the DRK flood aid worth five euros, which Penny increases to a donation of 15 euros.

You can also donate directly to numerous aid organizations: This includes information German Red Cross (DRK), the Maltese, the “Aktion Deutschland Hilft” and the German Life Saving Society (DLRG) on their websites via their respective donation accounts. The State government of Rhineland-Palatinate has also set up an account for those affected from the state.
