As the month of September has just begun, lovers of the Football Manager license were beginning to hope for an announcement from Sports Interactive and/or SEGA concerning the next episode. Done, with a trailer, information and, above all, a release date for FM 2023.
FM 2023 release date
Without teasing and in all sobriety, Football Manager 2023 release date revealedgiving us an appointment two months later, day for day, the Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The announcement was made through a trailer and a press release, allowing to have a first glimpse of the novelties.
In this trailer, we can see some of the player stats from the latest episode, which for example saw 400 million games played, 972,013 teams go undefeated in a season. Moreover, if you are wondering who is the top scorer for the 2021-2022 season, know that it is the Norwegian prodigy, Erling Haaland, by far, with 30 million goals. He is followed by Kylian Mbappé and his 17 million goals and Karim Adeyemi and his 16 million goals scored.
To go back to FM 2023, the developers promise many improvements of all kinds, to increase realism and immersion. Several licensed competitions will also be added, including the prestigious Champions League, and its two little sisters, the Europa League and the Europa League Conference. More information on this, and on what’s new, will be available in the coming weeks.
Finally, and as we told you above, FM 2023 will of course arrive on PC, Xbox One and Series, like last year, but also on PlayStation 5. The console version is even more optimized, to offer the best possible experience. In addition, Sports Interactive is proud to announce, at a time when ecology is at the center of many debates, that the carbon footprint for FM 2023 will be much lower than previous years, since the teams have done everything to reduce it. For comparison, the overall gCO2 equivalent of the Football Manager wrap has dropped from 256 for FM19 to just 66 for 23.
