What is the Switch OLED?
The Switch OLED is Nintendo’s top-of-the-line console. Its design is the same as the original Switch, but with better integrated buttons and a more pleasant coating. The major development that justifies this new version is, as its name suggests, the OLED screen. Larger by 0.8″, it allows you to gain immersion and visual comfort in portable mode. OLED brings a sharper image, blacker blacks, and therefore inevitably, better contrasts. The colors are not to be outdone and stand out better, with a much more dynamic colorimetric rendering.
The OLED does justice to the often colorful and shimmering graphics of games stamped Nintendo. Of course, outdoors and under the sun, do not expect miracles. Skyward Sword was an ambitious Zelda in its day and it still shines through today. Often brilliant in its mechanics and always fascinating in what it tries to produce, this Zelda shows great mastery in presenting its universe and including you in it. The dungeons are well designed and true to the tradition of Zelda. The principle is always the same and manages to constantly reinvent itself throughout the adventure. Apart from the gameplay which has inevitably aged, and the sometimes anecdotal story, Skyward Sword deserves to be rediscovered.
