This Sunday, January 9, Ophélie Meunier will once again be honored during a new episode of Restricted zone. The latter, which will be broadcast at 9:05 p.m. on M6, will talk about the very sensitive topic of adolescent sex. A period of amorous discoveries, sensual and sexual initiations, adolescence is the moment of all the first times. According to polls, the age of first intercourse remains stable (around 17), but the digital age has completely changed our adolescents’ approach to sexuality.

Because nowadays, it is especially on the Internet that we meet, flirt or sometimes even, strip for the first time. And necessarily, these new trends raise many dangers. This is why Ophélie Meunier and the M6 film crew are offering this Sunday evening an exclusive magazine entitled Teens and sexuality: what dangers lie in wait for them?

How to protect adolescents from sexual abuse on the Internet?

The show will follow Lola, a 14-year-old girl, who films herself every day wearing makeup and dressed like the influencers to post videos on TikTok. The competition of “likes” pushes young people to eroticize their postures earlier and earlier, at the risk of receiving countless obscene solicitations. Another teenager, Aliya, has had a terrible encounter on the networks: she fell in love with a boy she has never met in reality. Playing with her grip, her virtual boyfriend, who said he was 16, ended up extort photos and videos of a sexual nature from him. After blackmailing him, he destroyed his reputation by spreading all these compromising clichés.

How, when adolescents discover their power of seduction, protect them from the dangers of sexuality in the Internet age? Between absolute prohibition and permissiveness, where should parents place the cursor? And what is the school’s real mission to make young people aware of these new risks?
