Formula 1 in Great Britain: This is how you can see the free training sessions on TV and live stream

The 11th Formula 1 race of the season will take place on the weekend from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th July. A total of three practice runs will be held on the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. You can follow them on TV and as a live stream – we’ll tell you how.

The race weekend cannot be watched on free TV, you can only follow it on pay TV via Sky Q or as a live stream online. On the one hand, Sky offers you a paid live stream via Wow. On the other hand, the ORF also broadcasts the training sessions online – and it’s even free of charge.

Sky holds the broadcasting rights to Formula 1 in Germany. In Austria, on the other hand, these are broadcast by Servus TV and ORF, which show the races alternately. The race from England can be seen on ORF – but this only shows the 2nd and 3rd free practice sessions live. From the first only highlights can be seen.

Both broadcasters broadcast the races there on free TV and also free of charge on the internet. However, the live stream is protected against access from abroad by a country block.
