If you were online last night, you were able to discover the incredible event of this Saturday, June 4 at 10 p.m. entitled “Impact” and in which the destiny of Point Zero took another turn. After a maintenance downtime that lasted more than 12 hours, the game is finally ready to welcome its players back to its transformed island. Indeed, the developers have finally rolled out the v21.00 update patch, marking the start of Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 3 named Relax.
With each new season, a big update bringing tons of new content is deployed. New outfits, new locations, new weapons, skins and new quests are waiting for you to climb the levels of the Battle Pass.
After having made you discover this very morning the presentation trailers and the combat pass as well as having discovered the new map of the island, it is time to take a look at all the novelties that this new summer season has in store for us since the servers have now reopened. Note that the Season 3 of Chapter 3 will be available until September 17, a little over 3 months.
A season placed under the sign of relaxation
Yolo. In other words, we only have one life, so make the most of it! This is the credo of this brand new season of Fortnite, which offers you everything you need to spend a serene summer, after a most daunting confrontation. To party, you can expect an underground discotheque or a gigantic roller coaster with bubbles on rails. But be careful not to break your guard because other dangers lurk in the distance.
Brand new places transformed
The arrival of a new season necessarily means changes on the map. This season is no exception with several major changes.
To the west of the map, the whole island has been transformed to take on a purple color and a surreal atmosphere. Giant mushrooms, geysers and other caves, or even Tree of Reality (to be visited both outside and inside) to discover all the secrets await you.
In the northwest, the Cave has been transformed into a giant disco with a dance floor and good sound to enjoy wild parties. At its summit, a huge teddy bear-headed roller coaster awaits you to challenge your friends on descents on rails, thanks to the mobile bubbles which are making their comeback this season, called the bulbmobilator. Watch out for the impact and beware of road exits. Bubbles are on limited batteries and can now float on water.
A little further south is Loot Lake, also transformed by the disappearance of the Impactor. Deep in the water is Point Zero, now exposed and therefore fragile.
Finally, even if the volcano is still present, we must admit that the very colorful new style of the statue of The foundation in the East has a certain charm. Old places like The Big Chair, Dusty Depot and The Shark make a discreet return to the island. A brand new waiting island and a new lobby
As you know, before entering a game, you must wait until the end of matchmaking on a remote island of the real island of combat. This season, this island is getting a facelift with a brand new “summer” layout like a camping pool (credits: @Zatheo on Twitter).
There is also a brand new wallpaper for the lobbyie the room where you arrive when you start the game and find all the menus before starting a game.
Brand new quests await
As soon as you arrive on the island, the famous Season Quests. Always divided into several stages throughout the season, they will punctuate the story of this new episode. As usual, know that a guide is being developed to help you complete these quests. A dedicated guide is currently in preparation.
Note that the season is also full of daily quests, but also quests to unlock a certain IndianaJones and which will begin in a little over a month.
A point on the Battle Pass
Although we were able to see a preview of the Battle Pass during the downtime preceding the maintenance, it is high time to take stock of the characters and objects that we will be able to unlock as we collect stars. As a reminder, 5 battle stars will be unlocked per level reached. 100 levels in total with in the end, a big surprise.

- Page 1: Evie and Micmac (skin to customize with quests and Bricbroc tokens).

Welcome to Farmville
Who would’ve believed that ? From the management of plantations in Fortnite. This season, you can plant Reality Tree seeds to grow shrubs and gather loot. The tree will grow from part to part always in the same place. But for that, you will have to weed it regularly until you reach a Mythic level. When the tree withers, all you have to do is pick up the seed left in its place to replant a shrub.
new weapons
Make way for 3 new weapons when Chapter 3 Season 3 launches Fortnite with the Hammer Assault Rifleor the Two shot shotgun as well as the Sniper Riflewhich ushers in a whole new category of firearms.
The rest in brief
Other novelties or gameplay elements should also be noted:
- The possibility of ride on wolves and boars to go faster.
- The return of royal crowns after several victories.
- The tornadoes are back.
- The storm always does more damage because of the Evil of the storm : The longer you stay in it in a game, the more damage it will inflict on you.
- The block would apparently be back in the Season to customize buildings through players.
- Note that if you connect to Fortnite through the Xbox Cloud Gaming until June 21 5:59, you will receive the pickaxe Iridescent Daggers as a gift.
