France-New car registrations down 15.14% year-on-year in December-PFA


PARIS, January 1 (Reuters) – New vehicle registrations in France fell by 15.14% in December compared to the same period in 2020, according to data released on Saturday by the Automotive Platform (PFA).

The number of passenger car registrations stood at 158,121 last month.

Over the whole of 2021, new vehicle sales posted a small increase of 0.54% year-on-year.

The registrations of new cars of the Stellantis group fell last month by 13.73% compared to December 2020 and by 3.68% over one year.

The Renault group saw its registrations in France decline 11.97% in December and 4.07% year-on-year. (Laetitia Volga)
