François Fillon: this crazy rumor launched by Jacques Chirac about his sexual orientation: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

What if François Fillon was gay? In the book The Truth About the Fillon Mystery, published on June 25, 2020, at Plon editions, the journalist Tugdual Denis paints an intimate portrait of the former presidential candidate. Married since 1980 to Penelope Fillon, he had five children with her. From the outside, the family seems united and united. Only, for the former head of state who died on September 26, 2019, Jacques Chirac, it was only a window that hid another image of the politician. As the journalist mentions in his book, he reveals the crazy rumor that has long stuck to François Fillon, that of his homosexuality. "It was Chirac who launched this rumor. I often asked Séguin (Philippe, editor's note) to try to convince him that it was not true", said the main interested party to the journalist, as reported by our colleagues from Gala. He remembers that in his defense, he told him to tell him that he had several children. "But Séguin came back, defeated: 'Chirac replied:' Yes, but that means nothing '".

François Fillon was aware of this rumor

This rumor emerged from the start of the former Prime Minister's political career. Although he was still a law student, he worked for Joël Le Theule, deputy for Sarthe who was homosexual. The two men seemed very close. It didn't take Jacques Chirac any more to imply that the young student was also attracted to men. In 2000, he added a layer when he encountered François Fillon dressed in a singular outfit. Finally, a little later, during a gala dinner at the Vendée Globe, he opted for a turtleneck. "Did you see, Fillon, he has a turtleneck … Only fagots who wear turtlenecks", would have launched Philippe de Villiers, facing François Fillon who it seems, was very uncomfortable. But he had never wanted to get into their game and always pretended to be unaware of hallway noises who were circulating about it.
