François Pupponi on the attack on Yvan Colonna: “How is it possible that a detainee could have been beaten for 8 minutes without anyone intervening?”

François Pupponi was the guest of Jean-Pierre Elkabbach in La Matinale Week-End, on CNEWS. The Modem deputy from Val d’Oise returned to the temptation to assassinate Yvan Colonna.

“No one understand. How is it possible in an overprotected establishment, that a detainee, who is one of the most watched in France, could have been beaten for 8 minutes without anyone intervening”, he wondered.

A week after the aggression in Arles prison of the Corsican independence activist Yvan Colonna, sentenced to life imprisonment for the assassination of the prefect Claude Erignac in 1998, anger is still brewing in Corsica.

“The entire Corsican population has come forward,” said François Pupponi, MoDem deputy for Val-d’Oise. Moreover, a new demonstration is expected this Sunday, March 13 in Bastia. The demonstrators accuse the State of bearing a heavy responsibility.
