A Plague Tale: Requiem
Direct continuation of A Plague Tale: Innocence, A Plague Tale: Requiem, sends us back into the shoes of Amicia, responsible for protecting her younger brother, Hugo, victim of a curse. After having escaped – for a time – from rats, the plague and the inquisition, the only two survivors of the De Runes family find refuge in the South of France to try to rebuild their lives. Unfortunately, Hugo’s curse has not disappeared and returns in the form of swarms of rats, forcing the children to flee again. However, a mysterious island could contain the cure to cure Hugo, and it is towards it that Amicia and her brother are heading.
Relatively dirigiste in his approach, A Plague Tale: Requiem counts above all on its very specific medieval atmosphere and its touching story, perfectly told, to seduce players.
Evil West
Change of atmosphere with Evil West ! If A Plague Tale: Requiem plays the infiltration card, Evil West prefers to run wild, in a western/gothic world that is certainly original, but a bit of a catch-all. You play as Jesse Rentier, one of the members of the institute of the same name, an American organization responsible for tracking down evil creatures in general and vampires in particular. If the environment is intended to be very original, the same cannot be said of the gameplay, as classic as a frilled shirt in Interview with a Vampire. Large arsenal, skill tree and dodging will therefore be the key words of an adventure which is divided into 16 chapters which can be explored solo or in a duo.
Nobody Saves the World
Subscriber to original concepts, Drinkbox Studios offers a game in which the hero, Nobody, is completely transparent. He doesn’t know how to fight, he’s not faster than average, he doesn’t jump higher… Yes, he’s an ordinary guy who will accidentally come across the magician’s magic wand Nostragamus, an artifact that will allow him to take on diverse and varied appearances. Turtle, knight, zombie, mermaid, knight… in total, around fifteen appearances (which can be combined) are available with affinities for combat that are sometimes all relative. And it will take all this versatility to destroy the Calamity, the final boss of this A-RPG (think of the old Zelda seen from above) atypical.
