Free undertakes not to increase its mobile rates for at least 5 years

As usual, Free Mobile has fun taking the opposite view of the competition. While Arcep recently observed an increase in the average price of telephone plans, the operator founded by Xavier Niel has made a commitment that should delight its long-time subscribers. Its two historic packages, namely the 2-hour offer with 50 MB of 4G data and unlimited SMS and the Free 5G package including 210 GB of 5G mobile data with unlimited calls and SMS, will not change the price for at least least the next five years. They will therefore remain respectively at €2 and €19.99 monthly, knowing that the Free 5G plan is the one to which all Free subscribers benefiting from a temporary offer end up being sent. This is currently one of the best prices for a 5G plan, although it is important to remember that Free’s 5G is largely based on 700 MHz antennas, an insufficient signal to claim to optimum network quality.
