Freelance.com: acquisition of the OpenWork group – 09/01/2023 at 14:38

(AOF) – Freelance.com, specialist in the relationship between companies and their external talents, announces the completion of the acquisition of 100% of the securities of OpenWork, specialist in wage portage for the self-employed, mainly present in France and Belgium . OpenWork has recorded strong growth since its creation in 2011 to enter the top five wage portage companies in France in 2022 with 70 million in turnover in 2022 and more than 1,200 freelancers.

OpenWork is positioned as an accelerator at the service of consultants in order to offer them the means to develop their activity. Its mission is to simplify the daily life of the self-employed and to protect them through the status of supported employee.

The grouping allows Freelance.com to consolidate a fragmented wage portage market, to become the leading player in management and services to freelancers and to manage a panel of brands that target different types of consultants.

This acquisition was financed entirely from equity.

The operational teams are scheduled to come together in September at the La Défense site.

A new entity in employee benefits

Pluxee, the division specializing in employee benefits of the services giant Sodexo, will take off on the stock market in 2024. This activity benefits from strong dynamism with organic growth in the third quarter (ending May) exceeding expectations (+25 .5% against 17.5% expected). The new entity will thus be able to better compete with its competitor Edenred. Since its split from the Accor group in 2010, this company has seen its business jump and almost double. Having become the world leader in meal vouchers, it even recently joined the flagship Paris market index, the CAC 40. This success stems from targeted acquisitions, international development and successful digitization.
