Friends: next postponement for reunion?

The shooting for the upcoming "Friends" reunion will apparently be postponed again.

Fans may have to wait longer for the "Friends" reunion than last thought. The streaming service HBO Max distances itself according to "Deadline" from statements from the environment of the production company, which had been made shortly before in an interview with the industry magazine. In the conversation it was alleged that the filming of the reunion of Lisa Kudrow (57, Phoebe), Jennifer Aniston (51, Rachel), Courteney Cox (56, Monica), Matthew Perry (50, Chandler), David Schwimmer (53, Ross) and Matt LeBlanc (53, Joey) should start within the next two weeks.

As both "Deadline" and "Variety" now report, the reunion special is apparently not yet to be filmed. The work had been postponed again due to the still prevailing Corona crisis. When exactly the recording can start is therefore still not certain. The two industry magazines each cite an anonymous insider.

Already postponed

The reunion of "Friends", which is to be filmed for HBO Max, should actually be published in May at the start of the new US streaming service. The special episode, which promises a reunion with the series stars, was announced in February. In March it became clear that filming would have to be postponed due to the crisis. In April, HBO had to explain to Max that the reunion would not be able to air until later. Schwimmer had finally given all fans hope a few weeks ago and declared on the "Tonight Show" that filming was planned for mid-August.
