Instead of delimiting the mowing area manually with cables, the Ecovacs GOAT G1-800 does this wirelessly. Here, a beacon signal, a small antenna that you turn into the lawn, is used to mark exactly the pieces of lawn that the robotic lawnmower should work on. The GOAT G1-800 orientates itself on this and therefore always knows where it is.
You can define up to 16 areas in the app to create a map that is individual to your garden. Should a zone be mown directly? No problem. One click is enough. You can also set up exclusion zones. Intelligent mowing plans help organize lawn mowing work without the hassle of setting up settings.
This makes defining the mowing area child’s play. The risk of damage or accidents is also much lower. No cables mean no additional tripping hazards for you. If there are no cables at all, they cannot be accidentally damaged.

Suitable for small and medium sized gardens
The Ecovacs GOAT G1-800 is suitable for a lawn area of up to 800 square meters. It should be able to mow up to 2,800 square meters in a week. On average, the entire garden is cleaned three to four times per week. You can of course easily configure whether the robotic lawnmower should mow so often using the app.
Differentiation from the GOAT GX-600
Ecovacs has also introduced the GOAT GX-600 for small gardens. In contrast to the G1-800, it only manages a maximum of 600 square meters of lawn area, but above all it not only works without cables, but even without guide posts.

Like its relatives from the Ecovacs vacuum robot sector, it navigates by sight. But this also means that it was designed for rather simple garden layouts and, for example, requires a stone border or a fence as a “guardrail” if it is not supposed to also mow the flowerbed or neighbor’s garden.
