Furi Announced For PS5 With DLC Adding Onnamusha Playable Character, Almost 6 Years After Release

The French of The Game Bakers have made quite a reputation among players with Furia mix of beat em all and shoot ’em up launched in 2016. They have since released Haven, which received an update last March. While waiting to discover their next title, it is with astonishment that we learn the coming of a DLCs for Furi, titled Onnamushawhich will be available from May 17 on PS5, PS4, Switch and PC (Steam and GOG) for €6.99. Without specifying it in its press release, the studio therefore announces in passing the release on PS5 of a dedicated version, which will be free if you already own the game on PS4. Otherwise, no mention of the Xbox One, fingers crossed that owners of this version are entitled to the DLCs afterwards.

As its name suggests, this content will allow you to play with Onnamusha Rider, “a powerful fighter who alternates between a fast, agile combat stance and a slower, but lethal one, and can unleash the devastating power of the star”. The promise here is to make us relive the game in a different way, through the modes Story, speed run and Coaching. On the other hand, no new music is provided with. Emeric Thoa, creative director of the game, briefly explains the reason for this additional content:

We read all the messages from Furi players and one recurring request really stood out to us: “I wish I could forget about Furi and find out again. This gave us the idea for Rider Onnamusha which brings a very different style of play with a layer of tactics.

But that’s not all, since a free update will be released at the same time, allowing players to access all previously paid content at no cost, including the One More Fight DLCand improving performance and accessibility.

Furi is sold €15.99 on Gamesplanetso it’s a good time to crack if you haven’t discovered it yet.
