The SpVgg Greuther Fürth missed the leap to the promotion ranks of the 2nd Bundesliga despite the best chances against SC Paderborn. In the end, Eintracht Braunschweig saved only nine of them from an important draw in the bottom line Würzburger Kickers.

Eleven against nine and still no victory: Würzburger Kickers bottomed out in the basement duel of the 2nd division against only nine players from Eintracht Braunschweig in the end. In a hard-fought game, the team of coach Bernhard Trares separated 0-0 from the guests from Lower Saxony, who have been waiting for a win for six league games. Braunschweig had to play nine for the last half hour. First, defender Dominik Wydra saw the yellow-red card for repeated foul play (51.), 15 minutes later Manuel Schwenk flew off the field after a hard tackle against Dominic Baumann with red.

The Franks did not get beyond a 1: 1 (1: 1) against relegated SC Paderborn and remain fourth in the table for the time being. Fürth started strong and was right in front after a diving header from Sebastian Ernst (8th), but quickly gave up the advantage. After a bad pass from Branimir Hrgota, the SCP skilfully switched, Chris Führich scored to equalize (24th). Paderborn was a little better in the game, Sven Michel missed the great chance to take the lead (35th). On the other hand, the still not equal guests were lucky when Paul Seguin (43rd) and Havard Nielsen's post shot (57th) hit the crossbar. After the break, both teams continued their aggressive pressing and created good opportunities, but still with advantages for the people from Fürth, who always demonstrated that they can play really well. The best chance was given by Hrgota, who headed past the gate from three meters (52nd), and Ernst (65th).
