The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are very similar to their respective predecessor models. The mobile phone provider o2 has already given us the first contracts in advance, with which you can pre-order the new cell phones. o2 sent us a small expense allowance for the tariff check. Of course, this has no influence on my assessment of the contracts. So let’s take a look at the whole thing.
S22 models for an additional payment of 1 euro in the o2 Free M
Even if you can pre-order all three models from February 9th, the sales starts differ. The Ultra model will be available from February 25th and the two basic models S22 and S22+ will only be available from March 11th. So you have to wait a little longer for your new smartphone if you sign a contract with o2.
You have the opportunity to trade in your old cell phone and secure cashback in the process. If you buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra, you get a maximum of 150 euros, with the S22 and S22+ you can get a maximum discount of 100 euros. As always, I recommend you at o2 to grab at least the “Free M” tariff. Because this is the cheapest 5G tariff and with 20 gigabytes you get a solid amount of data that you can surf monthly. So you don’t limit the performance of your new cell phone directly through the cell phone contract. I have listed the prices in the table above, but as always you have to choose between terms of 24 or 36 months.
What is exciting about o2 is that you pay as much for the more powerful S22 Ultra as for the Samsung Galaxy S22+. In addition, the additional payments of only one euro each are really great for a smartphone that has just been presented. Of course, you have to decide for yourself whether the total costs calculated for the respective term are worthwhile for you.
