Galaxy Tab S7 gets surprising update: Android 11 brings cool features

Samsung is currently giving the Galaxy Tab S7, S7+ and the Tab S7 FE a system update to One UI 3.1.1 (Android 11). If you haven’t updated your tablet yet, you should do so as soon as possible, because the improvements don’t just take place in the background – the new One UI brings some clear advantages in daily use:

It is now possible, for example, to keep certain apps constantly in sync, such as adding text to the notes app on the tablet, while adding a photo to the Galaxy smartphone at the same time. With “Remaster”, the photos app also has an optimization tool that, among other things, sharpens the images and makes them appear clearer.

For some users, however, the second-screen integration and keyboard sharing are likely to be the most exciting: As long as you are in the Samsung ecosystem, for example own a Samsung Galaxy Book, you can use the Galaxy Tab S7 as a second screen for the use laptops. A display extension and mirroring of the content is possible. Conversely, the keyboard of the Galaxy Tab S7 can be connected to the Galaxy S21 at the touch of a button, for example to quickly answer a message.

Download tip: If you don’t have a Samsung notebook, but would like to use the tablet as a second screen for other Windows devices, you should take a closer look at the Spacedesk tool.
