Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, the new foldables could now be affected by a name change. According to an insider, cell phones will have to do without the “Z” in the future.
The information was from an insider by the synonym Snoopytech shared on Twitter. Accordingly, the Z will not be used in the product name or on the packaging of the folding cell phones in the future. Samsung is reacting to the situation in the Ukraine, where the Z has clearly “gained” in symbolic effect.
Already in March, the manufacturer changed the packaging design of the previous models Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 for the Ukrainian market. They previously showed a large-format Z. The new cell phones will be presented on August 10 at the Unpacked event.
