After the VCT’s decision to ban the participation of Russian teams, the Gambit roster was released to compete under a neutral flag.

As one could imagine following the decisions of the various esports organizations around the world, Russian teams will find it difficult to continue their journey in the main competitions. Banned by the ESL on CS:GO for example, players from Russian teams have the right to compete under a neutral banner but not with boycotted countries. This is particularly the case for Gambit in the ESL Pro League.

VCT EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, they have decided to postpone the dates of the 3rd week because of the war in Ukraine. If the Ukrainians of Natus Vincere could not play all their matches in group B, it was especially the Russians of Gambit Esport who were suspended from the competition.

After a few weeks of discussions, the organizer announced his decision. From this March 16 and the 6th week, team players will play under the “M3 Champions” crest. Gambit announces that it has authorized its players to leave the structure to take place in a new independent formation in order to participate in the Valorant tournament. Na’Vi and Gambit must now play their late matches. On the side of group B, it is however over: Fnatic finished top of their group, Guild and G2 will be in the playoffs.
