Thuram severely punished for ghost attack

Draconic punishment for Marcus Thuram: The French national player from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach was banned for six competitive games last Saturday after his disgusting spit attack. The attacker must also pay a fine of 40,000 euros, as the German Football Association (DFB) announced.
Five games are to be served directly from the suspension that applies to Bundesliga and cup games. The sixth game will be suspended until December 21, 2021. Thuram spat in the face of Stefan Posch from Hoffenheim and saw the red card in the 78th minute. The five-time German champions had also asked the striker to pay, Thuram has to pay a monthly salary that will benefit a social cause.
Thuram had apologized for his affectative act on social media on Saturday.
