The Gamers Assembly is an unmissable event for lovers of multiplayer games, which has been held for more than 20 years in Poitiers. Unfortunately, the gathering had been canceled in 2020 and the organizers had opted for a Online Edition in 2021.
Corn the Gamers Assembly will be back this year with a Festival Publishing, because yes, the Poitiers Exhibition Center will reopen its doors for three days to welcome players and visitors. The program will obviously be varied, the show is aimed at everyone, here is what awaits us:
- More than 20 tournaments : League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, Hearthstone: Battlegrounds, StarCraft II, Trackmania, FIFA 2022… and many more!
- cosplay contest : video games, pop culture, cinema… come and admire the costumes and incarnations of your favorite characters!
- Tournaments and activities for Free Players;
- Silver Geek Senior Trophy : the best seniors of the New Aquitaine region return to the big stage to compete for the title of Wii Bowling Champion!
- Family area : a space dedicated to families and children with several universes including augmented reality, cosplay, role-playing, educational ludo, retrogaming;
- Exhibitors village : relax and discover the latest products and innovations from professionals and players in the sector.

The opportunity to recall Grand Poitiers’ attachment to e-sport and to salute the work carried out by the FuturoLAN association and its volunteers, who have made this Easter weekend an unmissable meeting place for gamers, says Florence Jardin, President of Grand Poitiers.
This event perfectly illustrates the development of e-sport on the territory: the Gamers assembly not only brings together the competition, but it is also a family event, where all audiences can meet: amateurs, professionals, enthusiasts.
In Grand Poitiers, if the GA has been at the origin of this craze since 2000, e-sport is not limited to a single weekend. It also means encouraging the practice of this discipline, all year round, with many activities for everyone in the municipalities of Grand Poitiers, and support for players in the sector, whether associations or entrepreneurs.
It’s up to you to play for the Gamers Assembly tournaments, it’s up to us to play to support e-sport in the years to come.
Of course, the health protocol will be applied, with a limit of 2,000 players in the lounge and a valid vaccination pass must be presented at the entrance.
