Gas leaked – minibus in Styria caught fire: one dead

On Easter Sunday in the late afternoon, a 27-year-old died tragically in a fire in his minibus in Styria.

According to police, the incident happened between 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. The minibus, which was parked right next to a fishing pond in Grosswilfersdorf, is said to have suddenly caught fire due to a mobile gas heater that was in the vehicle. The 27-year-old was in the car at the time and was unable to free himself in time. At around 8:00 p.m., his acquaintance checked the vehicle because the man did not report to his friend as agreed. He found the 27-year-old with serious injuries in the burned interior of the bus. Despite immediately initiated first aid measures and the notification of the emergency doctor, the man died on site. The alerted emergency services could only determine death.
