GE announces gas turbine order from Eneva in Brazil


(CercleFinance.com) – GE announced today that it has obtained an order for a class H gas turbine from Eneva, the largest private natural gas operator in Brazil, in order to support the energy transition and strengthen the growth of renewable energy in the country.

GE will supply a 7HA.02 gas turbine for Eneva’s new Azulão standby power plant, which will help stabilize the grid.

“GE’s Class H gas turbine technology has earned a reputation for flexibility, performance, environmental performance and high efficiency that has led to its rapid growth around the world,” said Eric Gray, CEO of GE Gas Power.

According to the national grid operator, wind and solar generation will increase from 15.6% (27.8 GW) of the total installed grid capacity in 2022 to 21.1% (42.1 GW) in 2026.
