(AOF) – On the occasion of its investor day, GE Aerospace, the aerospace division of General Electric, reaffirmed Thursday its outlook for the year 2024. For the current year, the group is targeting an operating profit including between 6 and 6.5 billion dollars and a free cash flow greater than 5 billion dollars. Its 2024 adjusted revenue is expected to grow 10% or more. In 2025, its operating profit is expected between $7.1 and $7.5 billion. Additionally, GE Aerospace anticipates operating profit of $10 billion in 2028.

Results weakened again for European companies

While fuel represents up to 35% of their costs, professionals estimate that European airlines are not expected to return to profit before 2023 or 2024 at the earliest.
