New update for Genshin Impact which was not idle at the end of 2021 and presented its new update 2.4, released January 5, 2022 on servers. In this new update “Ephemeral colors in flight”, explore the new mysterious Enkanomiya area and meet new characters. Developer miHoYo also unveils party events. This first patch of 2022 therefore lifts the veil on the Enkanomiya area. Unlike the other Inazuma Islands, the region is a huge floating island under the ocean which is constantly eroded by the Abyss. Some lore is given by the developer:
The ancestors of the inhabitants of Watatsumi Island once lived there, leaving behind the ruins of an ancient civilization even older than any relics on the surface. In a world without day or night, players will have to explore the depths of Enkanomiya and solve puzzles to use the Dainichi Mikoshi, an artificial sun developed by this ancient civilization.
Dangerous enemies lurk in this new, unknown area. Abyssal Elementosaurs are extremely dangerous predators that inhabit dark waters. Members of the same pack hunt in groups and can use their surroundings to their advantage in combat. The Cantor of the Abyss – Abyssal Flame can trigger Pyro attacks that deal explosive damage after a short time, on which shields will be of no use.
To support you in this new territory, the game adds Shenhe, a 5-star character who uses the power of the Cryo element, and Yun jin, 4 stars, who has a Geo divine eye and can increase the damage of normal attacks of his teammates depending on his defense and the divine eyes of which the team is made. Both characters wield polearms and will be formidable allies.
