The next version of Genshin Impact will feature the Lantern Festival that will arrive during the second part of the update. We will come back to this a little later since we will talk about the first part before.
Please note that we will detail the events one by one when they are available.
Part 1 of Update 2.4
This first part will highlight the two new characters of Shenhe and Yun Jin and as we talked about during the recap of the live presentation, they will be on the same banner. That’s not all since Xiao will also be in banner at this time. As for 4 star characters with increased rate, they will be the same for both banners
- 4 stars of the banners of Shenhe and Xiao: Yun Jin, Ningguang, Chongyun
You will also be entitled to a weapon banner which will be very interesting in case you are looking for a 5-star rarity spear.
- 5 Stars of the Weapon Banner: Calamity Choker, Winged Jade Spear.
- 4 stars of the banner of arms: Spear of Milleliths, The Flute, Greatsword of Favonius, Vagabond Movement, Hunting Bow of Favonius

“Potiology” event
In this event, you will have to help the alchemist of Mondstadt Timaeus to create a legendary potion.
- Access conditions: AR greater than or equal to 30 and having completed the Archon quest Act 1 Chapter 2 “Farewell to Exuvia”.
- Available from January 7 at 10 a.m. to January 17 at 3:59 a.m.
“Pursuit of the wind” event
The hide-and-seek event is making a comeback. It will be possible to participate by speaking to Gygax in Mondstadt. By participating, you will get tokens to exchange for various rewards.
- Access condition (s): AR greater than or equal to 20
- Available from January 13 at 10 a.m. to January 27 at 3:59 a.m.
Part 2 of Update 2.4
This time, the big event is located in the second part and it is the famous Lantern Festival that we had already had in 1.3 but this time there are some changes but we will first talk about banners.
In this part, the banners do not contain any new characters but the return of two 5 stars, namely Ganyu and Zhongli. With this update miHoYo offers four character banners. As for those of the first part, the characters of rarity 4 stars will be common to the two wishes.
- 4 stars of Zhongli and Ganyu banners: Xingqiu, Beidou, Yanfei.
In addition, you will also have “Divine Incarnation” wishes which will allow you to obtain the Prismatic Piercer Lance or the Bow of Amos.
- 4 Star Banner Weapons: Dragon’s Bane, Sword of Favonius, Code of Favonius, Spear of Milleliths, Ritual Bow.

Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival is back and you will be able to participate in various activities to get various rewards like a 4-star character or a skin for Ningguang.
It is also in the event “Ephemeral colors in flight” that you will be able to obtain the skin and the character of your choice among these below.
- Yun jin

- Ningguang
- Xingqiu
- Chongyun
- Yanfei
- Xiangling
- Xinyan
To access this event, you will need to meet the following criteria.
- AR greater than or equal to 28
- Complete the Archon quest Chapter I – Act 3 “A star approaching” and the Archon quest: Interlude – Act 1 “Return of the crane in the wind”
In this event there are four themes with challenges to achieve. You will get various types of talismans to trade in the Event Shop.
- Theme 1: Flame Star
- Theme 2: The great recovery
- Theme 3: Wonderful shadows
- Theme 4: Ocean Protector
You will be able to obtain decorations and a gadget with the name of “Tube of shooting”. Now let’s talk about the duration of the Festival.
- Available from January 25 at 10 a.m. to February 12 at 4 a.m.
In addition to all the activities available, two login bonuses will be available.
- Honorable Wealth: Available January 25 at 4 a.m. to February 9 at 3:59 a.m.
- Soaring Lights: Available February 9 at midnight at the end of Update 2.4
Event “Eight sites beyond the mountains and the seas”
This new event will require Kchiboushi to visit the Mondstad and Liyue regions. It will therefore be necessary to take a photo in certain places. This event will allow you to have an exclusive decoration.
- Access conditions: AR greater than or equal to 20, complete the quests “Ritou’s escape plan” and “Tanuki in the forest”.
- Available from February 4 at 10 a.m. to February 14 at 3:59 a.m.
