George Lucas: That's what the "Star Wars" inventor of "The Mandalorian" thinks

Not only does George Lucas seem to like Baby Yoda, but the rest of The Mandalorian as well. That is what director Dave Filoni revealed.

Baby Yoda alias "the child" has been enchanting fans since the start of the series "The Mandalorian" – and probably also "Star Wars" inventor George Lucas (76). The writer and producer of the TV show, Jon Favreau (53), shared a photo on Twitter in Januaryshowing Lucas with the button-eyed little creature in his arms. Apparently, the 76-year-old had visited the set of the series, which runs on the Disney + streaming service. What George Lucas thinks about "The Mandalorian" revealed Favreau and producer and director Dave Filoni (46) in an interview with "The Hollywood Reporter".

When asked what kind of feedback came from George Lucas after the first season, Filoni said, "Not very much. We talk about other things. When I talk to him, I want to get more knowledge." The "Star Wars" creator gives him practical tips. Then Filoni also said: "I think he enjoyed the show and he once said that he is now getting to see it as a fan and as a viewer." The producer and director also called it his "task" to pass on the knowledge he had from Lucas "and what I learned from him in all disciplines to pass on to Jon and the creative departments".

Second season in autumn

The new episodes of "The Mandalorian" should air from October on Disney +. Allegedly, fan favorite Boba Fett could also return. According to media reports, Temuera Morrison (59, "Aquaman") should have slipped into the role. The actor was already seen as Boba's father Jango Fett in "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones" (2002).

Several actors from the first season will also be on board again in the coming episodes, above all Pedro Pascal (45) in the lead role of "Mando" alias Din Djarin. Gina Carano (38) as Cara Dune and Carl Weathers (72) as Greef will also be there again. Giancarlo Esposito (62) as Moff Gideon is likely to be the main antagonist in season two. Work on a third season should have already started.
